How many sensors can I connect to one warning unit?

Maximum of two sensor units

How many signal units/switching units (passive devices) can be connected to one warning unit?

A total of two passive devices. Regardless of the combination.

How do I extend the control cable?

Via a distributor (node of the internal bus system).

What is the difference between a warning unit and a PA warning unit?

The PA warning unit has potential-free outputs for forwarding alarm statuses to higher-level control systems/GLT.

What is the difference between an AM warning unit and an AM PLUS warning unit?

The AM PLUS variant has an additional flashing light and horn. All other functions are identical.

How can I assess whether a room is at risk?

  • By calculating the max. Room concentration (< 3% CO₂).
  • If the room is naturally ventilated through non-closable openings of at least 1/100 of the floor area, it is not considered to be at risk.
  • 10 kg CO₂ (content of a gas cylinder) corresponds to 5m³ of gas.
  • Walk-in cold storage cells/rooms are generally at risk.

Can I expand an existing 1-room system into a 2-room system?

Yes, expandable at any time, but initialization is required after expansion.

The customer would like an additional display at the counter, how can I realize this?

With a signal unit at the counter. Connection like the other components of the system via the distributors.

Service

When do I have to maintain the safety device?

Carried out by replacing the sensor every four years.

Is an annual functional test necessary in Germany?

No! Except in the refrigerant sector according to DIN EN 378.

Do I need a test gas for the functional test of a CO2 CONTROL safety system?

No! It is sufficient to trigger an alarm with pure CO.

What do I do with the old sensor?

This must be returned to the factory within 14 days if possible.

Until when is it worth repairing a warning unit?

For warning units that are not older than ten years. Repairing older appliances is uneconomical, so a new appliance should be purchased.

Malfunction

The yellow LED lights up, continuous warning tone. What needs to be done?

There is a technical fault and a qualified person must be called in.

The red LED flashes, intermittent warning tone. What needs to be done?

This is a CO-Pre-alarm. The CO₂-source must be closed or the leakage location must be searched for to prevent further CO₂ leakage.

The red LED lights up, continuous tone. What needs to be done?

Acknowledge the continuous tone, keep calm and do not enter the danger zone! Follow the instructions specified in the event of an alarm and act accordingly.

No operating light is lit on the warning unit. What needs to be done?

Is there power? If so, contact Service to replace the warning unit.

Who do I have to contact as the operator of a restaurant?

You have a dispensing book record sheet in the dispensing book, which the installation company has filled out.
